About Me

Eleven years ago, our family left Vancouver for Battle Ground, seeking more space and new beginnings. This move brought us closer together, helping us cherish family time, connect with our community, and truly appreciate the beauty that surrounds us. Through volunteering, we’ve discovered a deep sense of belonging and the joy of giving back—reminding us how meaningful it is to be part of something greater than ourselves.

I spent over ten years as a social worker serving at-risk populations. At the Benton County Health Department, I counseled adolescent girls to prevent teen pregnancy, offering individualized support and connecting them to resources. I worked closely with healthcare providers, counselors, and community organizations to ensure comprehensive care and participated in a youth health task force. Additionally, I supported adults with disabilities through Home Life Inc. and Consumer Direct Care Network Washington, assisting with daily living, care coordination, and advocacy. My role involved partnering with medical professionals and case managers to develop personalized service plans. As part of the Institute for Family Development, I provided counseling and crisis intervention to families, working with various agencies to promote family stability and prevent out-of-home placements for children.
