When my children joined Battle Ground Public Schools, their growth inspired me to give back to our community. As a former social worker, I understand the complex challenges families face. I am dedicated to ensuring every child has access to fully funded, high quality public education that supports individual goals, nurtures well-being, and builds essential life skills for a changing world.
As a school district director, I will advocate for investment in special education, mental health resources, and student-centered curriculum. These priorities help close achievement gaps and empower all students to thrive socially and academically. In light of recent levy failures, I am committed to increasing communication, strengthening community partnerships, and engaging families and local organizations to rebuild trust and foster stronger, more collaborative relationships throughout our district.
I strongly support financial responsibility, advocating for transparent budgeting, careful oversight, and efficient use of taxpayer funds. I believe in budgeting aligned with our district’s strategic plan, ensuring resources directly benefit students and classrooms. By promoting flexible learning, innovative teaching, and strong partnerships among families, educators, and the community, we can create a positive and supportive environment where every child can excel.
